At Bench Dogz, you’ll learn how to make something special that you can use everyday! 

Each class is taught by Brandon “The Woodbutcher” Morrison, master craftsman and designer of whyrHymer with his assistant.

Over the course of two hours you will learn how design is all around us and what it takes to bring an idea to life.  

Take a look at the three different classes we currently offer below. Each builder is guaranteed to take home their project the day of the class.  

No prior experience is necessary!

MOTO

Light up your room with this “stacked” design lamp that you build yourself!

Using premium hardwoods and solid brass you will get to sand, assemble, wire and oil your lamp. Be sure to select your choice of walnut or white oak.

Cost: $175.00 (2hrs)

BENCH

Make a design statement in your home or office with this faux sheepskin bench seat.

In this class you will get to drill, sand, upholster and oil a whyrHymer bench design. Customize it with two different choices of tone of faux sheepskin.   

Cost: $275.00 (2hrs)

ARLO

Build a beautiful and unique lamp for your home. Featuring handblown glass and solid brass feet.

For the Arlo we’ll router, drill, screw, sand, oil and have some improvised design fun for yours to be truly one of a kind!  

Cost: $250.00 (2hrs)

All classes are a maximum of ten builders and two hours long.  Each builder is supplied with everything needed to make their project and take it home.   

For our Kid’s Classes, we encourage one parent to stay to observe and snap pictures of your builder during the Bench Dogz experience.

Class Notes:

  • Don't wear your best clothes since you'll be oiling and gluing.

  • Please be at least 10 min early to class.

  • 48 hr cancellation notice required for a full credit return. After 48 hrs you will receive class credit. Rescheduling subject to availability.

  • Parking is available but limited behind the whyrHymer showroom. There is area street parking on the surrounding surface streets.
